What you do want to do with these critters is hold them between the index finger and thumb (pad to pad) and push the fingers together until you see the parts pop out. A child may have to work up to doing this activity twice a day for one minutes, as this little activity is like lifting a barbell with your arm, only we're working on strengthening the cortical opposition status while having fun.
