NeuroDevelopmentalists
In 1992, Jan started a journey that transitioned her from desperate home school mom of a struggling learner into a master NeuroDevelopmentalist.
With her new knowledge of how to optimize brain function, coupled with her previous experience as a public, private and home school teacher, she understood there was more to education than just technique and curriculum. She found hope and help for her daughter through The NeuroDevelopmental Approach that ensures the brain is ready for learning. Today, Jan’s passion is teaching ways to stimulate brains of all ages earning her the title, Brain Coach. Through the years her work has helped children, teens and adults discover their true God-given potential without labels.
This message has been life-changing for all those who have applied her brain building principals, making life and learning easier for thousands.
Staff
It has been a journey spanning four decades and it all began when Allen Bedell married his junior high sweetheart, Jan. He graduated from Texas Tech University and became a successful remodeling contractor for many years to support his new family. Then, his first daughter, Jenee’, was born with learning challenges and the road to helping others through the NeuroDevelopmental Approach began. Allen has advised, supported and interacted with Little Giant Steps from its inception in 1999 but took more of a fulltime roll in the last few years. His expertise in carpentry came in handy as he designed and built an efficient home office for Little Giant Steps that made organization seem easy. He has been dedicated to bringing hope to thousands through his meticulous and self-sacrificing efforts in shipping and production of life-giving products. Allen crafted intricate displays to share these products at a dozen homeschool conventions across the nation each spring and summer. Allen was a founding member and currently serves as treasurer of Steps of Hope, a non-profit organization serving to advance the awareness of The NeuroDevelopmental Approach.
As a member of the Bedell family, Alysa grew up with a working knowledge of The NeuroDevelopmental Approach for Life as she watched her mother work with her sister, Jenee’. She has also observed the changed lives of thousands of families over the years. She officially joined Little Giant Steps, the parent company for Brain Sprints, in 2006 in the shipping and production department and soon moved to Director of Operations.
Alysa is a bright, efficient, and energetic young woman whose many accomplishments include graphic development of curriculum and complete website redesign. She is a Certified NeuroDevelopmental Screener and is working on her Neuro-Educational Specialist training to be a certified ND evaluator. In addition to her studies, she is leading the way in the development of the new Brain Sprints Center. She is a truly one of the most valuable members of our team!
Michelle met Jan Bedell in 1999. Jan was doing a pilot program at a private school for children with special needs; Michelle’s youngest son was enrolled in the school. As a teacher’s aide, Michelle was assigned to do NeuroDevelopmental activities with the students in the pilot program and decided to enroll her two sons in the Little Giant Steps program. After seeing the life-changing improvements in both her sons, she began working for Jan Bedell and has been with LGS ever since. Michelle’s job is to support our families while they are on our program. Since she has first-hand knowledge and experience with working the program with her own sons, as well as over 15 years of experience working with LGS clients, she is able to give a level of support that is invaluable. She is a natural encourager and has a tremendous capacity for compassion and an intimate understanding of the day-to-day challenges of implementing the LGS program.
Bobbi is a 22 year homeschool veteran and has graduated three young men. She served on several homeschool support group board of directors helping to facilitate the successful journey of hundreds of home-school families.
Bobbi joined the Little Giant Steps team as Director of Communications in the summer of 2017. Her ability to pick up information quickly and research what she doesn’t know has made her an invaluable part of the transition into our new Brain Sprints services.
Bobbi loves helping people find the hope and help they need to change the destiny of their children. As she has learned more about The NeuroDevelopmental Approach for Life over the past few years, she sees how even her own homeschool experience could have been so much easier. She is more motivated each day to help every family find the right fit of products or services for their unique situation.
